Carol has taken the plunge, or rather will be taking a rather big plunge! She's bravely (braver than me!) signed up for a Parachute Jump in Ocotober 2006.

|
Initial reaction from family members ranged from "brave" to "mad" or perhaps a bit of both.
Your vote counts - is Carol mad, brave or both? |
The parachute jump will be a tandem jump, so Carol will not only have to face a big drop, but she will have to be strapped to some strange man at the same time - poor thing, I don't know which she'll be more scared of ;-)
Of course it's all in the good cause - all sponsorship will be donated to the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, helping them to provide "Help for Today and Hope for Tommorrow" to families affected by this awful disease.
October 2006 marks 5 years since we all said goodbye to Alisha. We both hope that you'll help us mark this anniversary with a generous sponsorship. We've recently opened an "Angel Fund" for Alisha - all the money still goes directly to the Jennifer Trust but "counts up" in memory of Alisha. When we raise £5000 in this fund, a star will be officially named after Alisha as a lasting tribute.
Carol will be jumping on 21st October, at the Devon & Somerset Parachute School at Dunkeswell, near Honiton in Devon.
Whether mad or brave, we'd love it if you could sponsor Carol for her jump.
So, cap in hand then, please be generous and pop along to Carol's on-line fundraising page at JustGiving where you can safely donate on-line. If you're a taxpayer, please fill in the 'Gift Aid' information so that we can get another 28% back from the Tax Man too! Follow this link to donate:
