At the top of the hill you will see a cricket pitch on your left. This is no more than 150 yards from the Queenshead pub. Continue along this road WITHOUT TURNING OFF for approxiameately 6 miles.

You will come to sign signifying the start of Brockenhurst town about 11 miles into the journey. Continue past the church on your left, ignore the first turn signposted TOWN CENTRE, and take the SECOND turn on your RIGHT which is signposted to the TOWN CENTRE VIA FORD!. Only 200 yards to the next pub!

You will see a bike shop straight in front of you with blue signs, next to a railway crossing. On your LEFT is our (optional) food stop, THE FORESTERS ARMS. The food here is both very tasty and home cooked, and mostly under a fiver. Definitely recommended. They may also be putting a BBQ on for us for ?5.00 per head, subject to demand.

Time for lunch!

After eating and drinking, leave the Forresters and turn RIGHT back the way you came, through (or over) the ford to the T-junction. Here, TURN RIGHT and continue along this nice flat twisting road for a few miles

Leaving Brockenhurst

After cycling through some of the forest, you get to a T-junction, TURN LEFT. BE VERY CAREFUL. You are now on the busiest fastest bit of road on our circuit (The A35). Luckily we only continue along this road for 200 yards before taking a RIGHT. This is the first right you come too and is signposted with 40 mph signs about 50 yards into the road. It then climbs gently.

Continue along this road for about 3 miles without turning off until you come to the sign signifying you are entering BURLEY. Shortly after this sign you will see a sign pointing to RINGWOOD VIA FORD on your RIGHT. Take this right turning. Be careful - this is the easiest sign to miss on the route. Continue along this road until it ends at a T-junction opposite a quaint house called the "Little Ale House". Unfortunately this is NOT a pub!! TURN RIGHT at this t-junction. After about 40 yards turn LEFT (signposted for CROW & MOORTON), down a slope. Approxiamately 20 yards on your RIGHT should be our WATER STOP, where you can take a drink and rest.

Turn right and continue on past the OWL SANCTUARY for about half a mile until you reach the ELM TREE PUB right in front of you. THIS IS THE END OF THE SPONSORED CYCLE.
