Trailway to Blandford

The trailway is a hidden gem running from Spetisbury through Charlton Marshall and very nearly to Blandford. It used to form part of the railway line to Blandford but now is used by locals for walks, exercise and getting to school! It avoids the busy A350 and provides a tranquil and easy cycling route.

This section takes you from the playground, across a few old railway bridges, past the old Chalton Halt, under the bridge and on nearly to Blandford. It's all flat running apart from one very brief climb near the end, that then runs nicely down to a gate at the end. Turn right here and you'll come out on the main A350 just before the roundabout. Take care to stop safely before you get to the road.
